Lyricat Bridge

• Exact playback position — reads the current track time from the page's media element so the overlay stays word-accurate.
• Lyrics from the page you see — when the music site itself loads lyrics, the extension passes that same text to the overlay, so the words always match your player.
• In-player volume — lets the overlay's volume wheel adjust the player on the page.

Lyricat Bridge does not collect, store, or transmit any user data to any external server.

• All data (playback position, page lyrics, volume state) is sent only to the Lyricat application on your own computer at 127.0.0.1 (localhost). It never leaves your machine through the extension.
• The extension has no analytics, no trackers, no accounts, and sets no cookies.
• Broad host access (<all_urls>) exists only because music streaming services live on many domains; the extension reads the player state on whichever site is playing music.
• The webRequest permission is used only to observe the music page's own lyrics requests so the same lyrics can be shown on the overlay. Requests are never modified or blocked.
